What We Do

We hold weekly men's groups where men share their story, speak truth, and support one another to be accountable and take responsibility. Through trainings and workshops, we do the inner work — on fear, anger, shame, grief, leadership, and more — that helps men become better men. We build community through events and gatherings across Central Oregon, and give back through service projects.

Why This Work Matters

Too many men move through life isolated — carrying weight alone, unsure where to turn. Central Oregon Men exists to change that. We bring men together to become healthy, connected, centered — men who take real leadership and responsibility for their own lives and for their community. That work reaches beyond the individual: connected, accountable men are part of ending cycles of neglect and violence, especially domestic abuse, in our families and communities.

This matters beyond any one man's life. Researchers and organizations like A Call to Men have named a pattern many of us grew up inside — a rigid "Man Box" that prizes toughness, control, and silence over honesty and connection — and the World Health Organization has identified that kind of harmful masculinity as a serious public health concern, linked to isolation, untreated depression, and higher rates of violence. The way out isn't therapy, and it isn't dogma. It's a discipline men have practiced in circles for generations: telling the truth about your life, listening for another man's truth, and building a container strong enough to hold both — so that a more grounded, embodied way of living, rooted in felt experience rather than just analysis, has room to take hold. That's the work Central Oregon Men exists to do.
